Using a grant from the FY26 Vermont State Capital Bill, infrastructure work begins
Vermont State Treasurer announces a $4 million low-interest loan for Phase 1 of the Village at Winston Prouty.
Phase 1 of the Village will be built on the site of “Wheeler House.” Demolition work can be conducted in winter conditions, readying the site for construction season in the spring.
The State of Vermont approved a one-time Capital Bill State-Direct grant of $750,000 to the Town of Brattleboro for utilities infrastructure, to be sub-granted to The Village at Winston Prouty housing development.
The Brattleboro Development Review Board issued unanimous approval of plan to build a 28-unit 3-story building at 300 Maple Street.
The State issued the project an exemption from Act 250.
